Robert Latimer began his musical career playing the trombone in the 7th thru 9th grades. By age 14 he owned his first guitar and was soon playing in a high school rock cover band. He later played guitar in the #5 cover band in the state of Florida and toured the hotel circuit. He was a Hilton Hotels resident artist. While studying music at the University of Florida he discovered a passion for classical guitar.After diligent study and countless restaurant, wedding and casual gigs booked thru major Houston Texas entertainment agencies Robert performed as a solo "romantic guitar artist" at the prestigious "Rockefellers" concert hall. He teaches guitar and music theory full time (since 1978 to the present) at Guitar Trader in San Diego. He is the founder and has been the musical director and lead guitarist for The SensationS, who have performed extensively since 1999. His love and passion for the guitar and music permeate the fantastic sound of The SensationS Band.
